Creating a cultural fusion: Case study of Lumney Restaurant's approach to western fine dining in the context of Zhongshan, China

Abstract

The popularity of Western dining experiences is rising in diverse cultural settings, particularly in regions where traditional local cuisines dominate. This study explores LUMNEY, a Western dining establishment in Zhongshan, and its strategies to create a sophisticated dining experience through ambiance, culinary creativity, and exceptional service. Using LUMNEY as a case study, this article reviews existing literature on customer preferences in fine dining, seasonal menu offerings, and the importance of attentive services and ambiance in enhancing dining experiences.
